The Mile High Council on Substance Abuse and Mental Health
"The Council"
| The Council was founded in June of 1960 in order to provide community services in the prevention, intervention, and reduction of alcoholism. In more recent years, The Council has broadened its focus to include other addictive disorders including drug abuse. We strive to promote and provide innovative, collaborative programs designed to reduce alcohol and drug abuse, and enhance mental health. The Council is a leader in the provision of innovative prevention and treatment strategies for alcohol abuse, other drug use, and addictions. We are dedicated to providing high quality services and programs with a focus on promoting prevention, treatment and education. Additionally, The council provides programming in the areas of school based intervention and in the prevention and the treatment of low-income families, and received Mile High United Way funding to serve needy, low-income, and homeless individuals and families. | ||||
